PRACTICE FOR SAFETY IN THE SNOW

LVS SEARCH FIELD + TRAINING CENTER

We have been offering an avalanche search field in Praxmar since winter 2014/15. In collaboration with Girsberger Elektronik AG, we have developed the Avalanche Training Center ATC.

Avalanche Training Center ATC The Avalanche Training Center ATC is a permanently installed facility for avalanche searches with avalanche transceivers and avalanche probes. The system has 8 transmitters that are buried in the search field and emit signals like a real avalanche transceiver. At the control center, the transmitters can be activated either in the ¨bungs mode (at random) or manually in expert mode. This flexibility enables the training of both simple and complex encryption scenarios, including multiple encryption. The transmitters are equipped with automatic probe hit signaling. As soon as an avalanche probe successfully locates a point, this is displayed on the control center and confirmed acoustically. The entire system is powered by commercially available batteries, which ensure autonomous use throughout the season. To minimize energy consumption, the system automatically switches to sleep mode after use without the need to switch it off manually.
